Festival of the Girl 2025: My First Time Exhibiting (And Why It Surprised Me)

This October, I’ll be exhibiting at the Festival of the Girl 2025 at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Last year was my very first time taking part and honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I went in curious, but I left completely inspired. I wanted to be seven years old again!

The energy was electric. Children from all backgrounds exploring new subjects, from engineering to activism, gaming to politics. It was a space where curiosity was celebrated and where representation really mattered.

For The Nubian Princesses, it was powerful to meet families who told me: “We’ve never seen dolls and books like this before.” It confirmed why our mission exists to make sure every child can see themselves represented, loved, and proud.

Festival of the Girl 2025 is happening on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th October.
Tickets are available here → Festival of the Girl Tickets

✨ If you’re attending, make sure to stop by and say hello. I’ll be running workshops and showcasing our Black Princess Dolls collection.

Representation isn’t just about visibility it’s about belonging. And that’s exactly what this festival is about.
